Read the Book
I am not a book reader, especially fiction. When I was young my mother would bring me books from the library. My first question was "Is is real?" As an engineer, reading for fun never really entered my mind. However, reading your wife's books is a MUST read. I waited until the PROOF copy of her latest book to arrived. It has become tradition that this is my copy. I found I loved reading her work because I can hear her voice as she tells the story.

Have a favorite
It has been my experience when we are at book fairs, people will ask me which book is my favorite. Of course I love them all, however, people want an answer as they consider buying the book. I give them an answer that answers their question but also brags on my wife.
"I like MIA the best. MIA is the airport code for Miami but it also stands for Mission in Action....both happen in this book. I read this book while I was visting my daughter who lives in Miami. I was relaxed and had time to really just fall into the story. I love the way Lee adds so many details that are fully researched and accurate into to her stories."

When you go to a book fair or someone ask you to tell them about your wife's work, you need a prepared and practiced answer.
"Dr Matthew Paine is a family medicine doctor in a little town just outside of Raleigh, NC. One of his patients is mysteriously murdered in the first book, Dead Spots, of the series. The Raleigh Homicide Detective suspects Matthew at first but he is cleared and they work together to solve the crime. Matthew uses his medical knowledge and great observation skills to aid the detective in the case. This relationship carries on through the rest of the series. In each book they are pulled into a situations where trust, knowledge and friendship save the day.
